Jesus is God’s Son and God’s provision for our sin. Even though we are sinners who deserve hell, God in His great love and mercy has provided a Savior so that we can be forgiven. Jesus declared in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

As Jesus died on a cross, the weight and punishment of all our sins fell on His shoulders. The sentence of death God had pronounced against rebellious sinners struck. And Jesus died. For you and me!

God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, because God loves us. The Bible says in Romans 5:8, “...God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, and died on the cross taking on Himself the punishment for our sin. Three days later He rose from the grave, conquering death itself..

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” The one true God has revealed Himself to the world through Jesus Christ. God has provided through Jesus Christ the only way of Salvation. Jesus declared in John 14:6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” The only way to get to God is to go through Jesus.

Jesus is the only way to be saved. Acts 4:12 declares. “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

God has provided a Savior, Jesus Christ, who has taken care of our greatest problem, the problem of our sin. God loves mankind so much that He gave His own Son’s life to pay the penalty for our sin. What does God expect us to do with the information that Jesus died in our place so we can be saved from God’s wrath against our sins? He calls us to respond with repentance and faith.

We can’t earn salvation; we are saved by God’s grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.  All you have to do is believe you are a sinner, that Christ died for your sins, and ask His forgiveness. Then turn from your sins—that’s called repentance. Jesus Christ knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, your honesty. We suggest praying the prayer below to accept Christ as your Savior.

"Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen."
