CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Our mission is simple: partner with the families of Ooltewah to teach children about the Word of God and

the love that He has for us to share.  Our children's ministry is designed to help kids to grow as Jesus did,

"in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." (Luke 2:52). 


It is our desire to come alongside parents and teach children to

Know God, Ingest His Word, be Discipled and Serve others.

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL

    Sunday Mornings from 9:15am - 10:15am


    Our Sunday mornings are designed to reinforce Biblical truths and assist in each child's walk with the Lord.  During our small group and worship care hours we utilize "The Gospel Project for Kids" curriculum.  This study takes us on a three year chronological journey through the entire story of the Bible.  Each week makes a reference point to the Gospel of Jesus.  Through hands-on activities, Bible stories and videos, we learn the Word in an exciting way!

    9:15 - Small Groups Age-graded Bible Study is provided for all children where they will learn more of God's truth and His love for them!  This time is very focused on scripture through a lesson, crafts, and play.  Activities begin music each Sunday morning in the gym at 9:15.


    10:30 - Worship Care While parents are in worship or serving, children are too.  Paid workers and volunteers provide loving care for babies and toddlers.  Older preschoolers experience a Bible story, craft, snacks, music, and more.

  • AWANA (MIDWEEK PROGRAM)

    Wednesday Nights from 6:00pm - 7:30pm (during the school year)


    6:00 - Awana (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) Kids 2yrs-5th grade will learn Scripture, build friendships and learn more about God while having fun in Awana.  This program is built on the desire to equip children with life-lasting faith in Christ through scripture memorization and Bible study that is age appropriate.  Awana teaches children how to apply God's Word to the entirety of their lives.

  • CREATIVE LEARNING PROGRAM (CLP)

    Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am-2:00pm (during the school year)

  • SUNDAY SCHOOl

    Sunday School for students is a great place to build relationships and dig into God's Word together.  We are currently doing a Gospel Project study together.  Each week we grab some food from "Common Ground" (2nd floor coffee area) and then start the morning together in the "World Map Room" (2nd floor, end of hall).  From there we change it up a bit as Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers meet separately to discuss the morning's lesson.

  • PLANTED (MIDWEEK PROGRAM)

    Based upon Psalm 1:1-3, 'planted' is a night for 6th - 12th grade students aimed toward growing a passion within students for The Word of God and the Christ it reveals!  Our hope throughout the years is to see students blessed by delighting in the law of the Lord. We desire to see students "planted" in the Word of God, the Truth of Christ, and the Body of His Church. We want to see students fed, growing, yielding spiritual fruit, prospering in all they do...and having a great time together in the process.


    We would love for YOU to join us Wednesday nights from 6:00pm - 7:30pm in the Student Center!


    What can you expect during the average Wednesday Night 'planted'?

    6:00pm (grab some food and play some 9Square, Foosball, Air Hockey, JungleSpeed and more!)

    6:20pm (activities and/or Worship)

    6:40pm (time together in God's Word)

    7:10pm (head to "Branch Out" groups...small groups by grade/gender)

    7:30pm (head to choir...stick around a bit to talk...or head home)

SENIOR ADULT MINISTRIES

Our seniors meet for lunch once a month and enjoy a variety of programs including special

speakers, a birthday celebration, games and even special music by our preschool choir.

  • MONTHLY LUNCH

    Each month our Seniors enjoy a meal together in the gym.  During each meal there is always special programming to enjoy that may include music, bingo, a guest speaker, or simply the church staff putting on a little variety show.  Whatever the plan for the month, it's a great time together!


  • TRIPS

    We will be taking 2 trips this year.  This summer, we will go to Cumberland County Playhouse to see "Smoke on the Mountain" and eat at the state park (June 14).  This fall, we will take a train ride through senic Blue Ridge Georgia (October 11).
